Distinguished literary figure at School of Creative Arts

Prof Anis Ashfaq Nagi, a distinguished literary critic, poet and novelist from Lucknow visited School of Creative Arts, University of Lahore. Prof. Ashfaq was also the head of the Urdu department at Lucknow University for 16 years. He wrote an extension of famous literary work ‘Umrao Jaan Ada’ written by Mirza Hadi Ruswa. Prof. Ashfaq attended the literary festival and also visited School of Creative Arts, University of Lahore. Re-Known Drama writer Asghar Nadeem Syed hosted him along with HoD Mr. Raza Zaidi and Akbar Ali Natiq.  He interacted with faculty members and students and had an interactive session on importance of Novel, various aspects to its development, bird eye view of literary significance of Lucknow and briefed attendees about two of his recent works. The session followed an excited question/ answer session moderated by Asghar Nadeem Syed. It ended with a note of thanks from head of department.
